2012 Goals

  1. Continue to read my Bible daily. To eventually have read my Bible cover to cover then replace it with a new ESV translation.
  2. Exercise 4 days a week.
  3. Eat well and confine Free Day to only 1 day.
  4. Write 12 or more posts but not restrain myself to a time table for publishing.
  5. Continue memorizing Proverbs 31 and more verses after that.
  6. Crochet a quilt for Dad & Mom.
  7. Continue working on crochet curtains for the window
  8. Read several of the Classic books on my new eReader
  9. Read several books from Christian sources for my edification
  10. Set-up my bookcase and shelve my books
  11. Find new employment
  12. Glorify God with everything I do.
One thing I've learned about setting goals for myself is that I need to be careful with setting timetables for myself.  I want to make sure that I have my heart in the right place and that the things I'm doing are glorifying to God and that I am praising him as I do them.  I found that with strict timetables on my goals last year that I was trying to legalize too much and working on things because I think I have to, not because the Lord is leading me to be working there. I'm surrendering this part of my sinful nature to the Lord, I will let Him lead when and how I pursue tasks this year.

And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.  And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.  Isaiah 58:11-12
