Granny’s Homemade Bread

For one loaf:
Proof yeast, add 1 1/2 tsp yeast and 1/2 tsp honey to 1/4 cup warm water. Let sit 10 minutes.

On the stovetop melt together:
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup whole milk
1 Tbsp lard
2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp raw honey

3 cups white flour

Add yeast, milk mixture (warm but not too hot or it will kill the yeast) and flour to breadmaker, start on light crust, small loaf.
